Meet Darrel Mayers
Somewhere above cloud inversions, Darrel Mayers crafts cinematic soundscapes. Utopia Station is where folk and electric instruments weave wonder in upper atmospheres—an Austin-based ambient project exploring the cosmic potential of sound.
Mayers played in the medieval folk-rock group Mundi and in the ambient duo Motes Float Aloft. ‘Arrival’ is his first solo project under the Utopia Station name.
Darrel releases a new video soundtrack each month, building a portfolio showcasing his unique ability to blend organic instruments with ambient textures. These soundtracks reveal his creative process and showcase his capabilities for future commissions. Read more about Darrel.
